AfroFuture Festival, formerly known as Afrochella, announced its headliners for this year’s power-packed festival.
Announced exclusively via Rolling Stone, the headliners are Nigerian afrobeat artist, Davido; Ghanaian superstar, Black Sheriff; and UK rapper, J Hus. The event will be held on December 28 and 29 in Accra, Ghana to bring music lovers and members of the African diaspora to experience outstanding performances.

Davido is a world-famous musician and also a staunch promoter of Afrobeats and Amapiano. His latest album, “Timeless”, is fused with these.

J Hus has been credited to be the pioneer of the AfroSwing genre of music. His most successful single, “Did You See“, peaked at number 9 on the UK Singles Chart.

Black Sheriff, who initially gained popularity with the release of his single, “First Sermon“, has his genre of music deeply rooted in hip hop, high life, and drill music.
AfroFuture Festival is all about bringing renowned stars and budding artists under one umbrella to share creativity and inspiration. It is also a great opportunity for African Americans, estranged from their origins, to connect with their roots.
This festival was founded by Abdul Karim Abdullah and Kenny Agyapong in 2017. Ever since then, it has continued to draw people, annually, to witness a splash of immersive African and diasporic cultures.
In a statement by CEO and co-founder Abdul Karim Abdullah with Rolling Stone, he said, ” AfroFuture has always been more than just a festival; it’s a full-circle celebration of everything African — our culture, our people, our talents, and serves for us as a platform to appreciate and acknowledge the larger contributions we make in the world”.
Last year, the event was headlined by Burna Boy, Asake, Ayra Starr, and Fireboy DML. The lineups included Shatta Wale, Kuame Eugene, King Promise, Stonebwoy, Gyakie, Kofi Kinaata, Pheelz, and other artists who gave stellar performances.
