Tottenham Hotspur Manager, Ange Postecoglou has backed the North London Club to get better, despite his side’s positive start to the season as table toppers and and still yet to taste defeat.
The Australian Manager has made history by becoming the first Premier League Gaffer to win the Manager of the Month twice in the first two months of his job, but he also revealed after the final training session on Friday that his team can even do better.
Spurs sit comfortably in first place via a better goal ratio than Arsenal, with both sides the only unbeaten teams in the English Premier League with 20 points each after the first eight League fixtures.
Postecoglou expressed his delight at the way Spurs have Kick Started their season which to him is encouraging because people didn’t expect them to perform up to this level, especially after the departure of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, the Club’s leading goal scorer.
“From my point of view, we’ve obviously had great results, but I’ve been really pleased with how we play week in and week out. Despite challenges faced in every game, we’ve always maintained consistency both home and away against very difficult teams in the league,” he said.
He also tactically pointed out that the team has maintained a high level and there have just been a few parts of the games where he thought the levels dropped which is encouraging to him and his backroom team in terms of developing the team and building a formidable squad.
Despite his side’s top performances against tough opponents, Postecoglou Said that Spurs are still a work in progress and are not there yet and can even put out better performances when the players attain their full potential.
Spurs will host London rivals Fulham on Monday night in a quest to maintain their electrifying Premier League start of the season.
