Clear Doubt About Your Past, Atiku Tasks Tinubu

Atiku Abubakar, former vice president and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to clear all doubts about his past.

The former vice president, who spoke through Messrs Paul Ibe and Phrank Shaibu, his media aides, at a press briefing in Abuja, accused President Tinubu’s loyalists of fishing for mud to stain his integrity.

Atiku noted that in the aftermath of his exposure of the alleged inconsistencies in Tinubu’s academic records at Chicago State University (CSU), United States of America, Tinubu’s camp has been seeking to get back at him.

“It was obvious from the start of their journey into futility that what the media aides and supporters of Bola A. Tinubu were doing was a random bite of the public profile of Atiku Abubakar until they found an item they could chomp with their filthy teeth. It was amusing watching them running ‘kiti-kata like a person wey drink water, no wan drop cup’  as we say in Naija parlance of a restless soul on a fruitless journey.”

Atiku noted that the Tinubu camp, while in the quest to stain his image, found out that he signed an affidavit on Saturday, August 18, 1973, in which he signed to be publicly known and addressed as Atiku Abubakar.

An investigation was carried out into the Lagos State High Court registry in 1973 to confirm if it was absurd to sign court papers on a Saturday. As a result of the investigation carried out, it was discovered that Atiku was not the only person to have signed a court paper on a Saturday in the year 1973.

Furthermore, the PDP candidate stated that a person who practices democracy, especially one who sits on the chair of a president, must live above board, and a president must mirror the moral virtues of trust and transparency.

Atiku challenged President Bola Tinubu to go to Government College, Lagos, to collect a copy of his 1970 certificate, which he used to seek admission into Chicago State University (CSU).

He said that if President Bola Tinubu is afraid to come out clean, then he can assume that Tinubu has some skeleton in his closet. He stated that the president should feel free to confide in him what they are.

Atiku noted that it is embarrassing that the FBI and other anti-crime agencies in the US are ready to release information on the president at any moment, but it is more embarrassing that Tinubu is ready to use all in his power to prevent light from being shed on his past, which he had claimed would cause “irreparable damage” to him.

Atiku stated that the FBI and other anti-crime agencies are set to release the “#FBITinubuFiles,” which will cause the nation irreparable damage.
